On the 5th of September 2009, G12 Floorball Club sent in one line to participate in the Rising Star Floorball Challenge 2009 organised by Penang Floorball Association.

This will be the last time we walk into MGS's gym to play floorball for the year 2009.
It was G12's last training. *cue in sad, sad music* More like KungFu Fighting in a sadder tone..
We'll let the pictures do the talking.

Girls, train hard, keep the passion burning for this sport and we'll see you all next year!

G12 ; The last one standing.
See it, fake it, take it!
I know it's been about a week since you've step foot
on this lil ol' island after 6 months, but whatever.
Welcome home, Lara.
It's good to have you back.
With about 6 days in hand, G12 Sure Shots face their final training session this Wednesday before the much anticipated Friendly against Firebrands takes place this Saturday.
The author finds it hard to believe that this is really happening. What started out as a post-Wave Challenge congratulatory-'good game'-wall-to-wall post on Facebook to each other by Tania of Firebrands and Yvonne of G12; suggesting playing against each other's teams again has turned into an event, though minor, in the floorball world. Players from several floorball clubs in Penang are involved in this event.
Kuan Yang from Frontliners and Lin Ken from Innebandy! Co. - the official referees of the match
together with
Michael, also from Frontliners and Brandon from Ztec - the secretariats
I accepted the idea of the suggested friendly by Tania as I had promised the team during that eventful ride home from Balik Pulau Stadium that I will look out for tournaments or matches for G12 to participate in as I felt that it was sad if we only got to play ONE tournament in 2009. After consulting with our coach, Nick and the girls, G12 as a team officially accepted the Friendly planned by the two very random girls.
A few questions I find myself asking are..
Is G12 really ready?
Have I done my best in selecting the players to play in Sure Shots?
Can we handle it without depending too much on our injured coach, Nicholes?
But what happens if we lose?
Will that drown our spirits and possibly break us, knowing far well that we're still feeling beaten up since the Wave Challenge incident that took place in April?
Will we still give it our all, knowing in mind that most of the supporters and fans there will be rooting for the opposing team?
But most importantly..
Will we leave our insecurities behind and play well as a team?
Because to me, that's what matters.
Play together, win or lose together.
We are very proud to announce the birth of our new and improved team,

After having a four-week hiatus due to study break and exam week, tomorrow will be our first training after Wave Challenge.
It's been preeetty long since we've hit the gym and trained together. So girls, let's briiing it all back to you~ Get your sticks and march loud and proud into the gym with our G12 spirit and train hard for the upcoming friendly, people!
See It, Fake It, Take It!! =D

G12 Ladies,
The tension must be rising, adrenaline, pumping and you're freaking out. Not to worry, that's pretty much a requirement for any event. That's perhaps a good sign really. Do not freak out. You've come this far, it's now or nothing. You play your best, to prove you're the best. You're in one team and you wear one jersey and carry one flag. You are what defines G12 and MGS. Wear your jerseys proud and get those flags flying high. You have nothing to fear. You're the best that you can possibly be and that itself is an achievement.
On saturday, i want you girls to step on court proudly and play all your matches like you've been thought too; team-work, passing and pride. You have to take pride in the game you play. No regrets, no frets. You're one team and you can do this! You're capable of winning. Just keep your chins up, head in the game and don't forget who you are. Play your best and victory will be yours. Be strong.

Hey team!
Today's training went really well. It's good to have that G12 team spirit back. After weeks of getting to know each other and team bonding, the seniors have finally soften up a little bit and put in some effort into building a team-player relationship with the juniors. Things are going good. Finally, trainings at G12 are not funeral-like with the only audible sound being Von's and HY's echoing voices, LOL! It was as if MGS girls forgot how it's like to have fun/make noise/enjoy themselves. Trainings felt so draggy and everyone was too tense and serious. And we also lacked teamwork and team spirit, which G12 has self-proclaimed itself to be famous for. Good job, seniors! Keep it up!
Do go up to Balik Pulau this Monday to support two of our players, Charmaine and Valerie as they play against a floorball team from Sabah, the Nomad flooballers.
